Why does the system require the use of Multi-factor authentication?

When the system requires more than one authentication method, it significantly enhances security. MFA ensures that data can only be accessed by the owner, even if their account is stolen. This comprehensively protects privacy and reduces the risk of losing important information.

What is unifi eCommerce Hub's Multi-factor authentication method?

The unifi eCommerce Hub's Multi-factor authentication method will send a 6-digit verification code to your email address.

Why do I need to authenticate when accessing the account information page?

Starting November 2024, we will require you to authenticate your identity by using an email OTP to further protect your personal data and your business from security issues or intrusion attacks.

How do I get an OTP email?

The OTP email will be sent to the email address you registered with UniFi eCommerce Hub. You can also receive an OTP email with your backup email address if you add it to MFA settings. Instruction here

Can I turn off Multi-factor authentication?

Once you activate the authentication feature, it cannot be disabled or removed.
